What is ImvrosFest?
Organised by the Translation Village team,
ImvrosFest offers a multilingual and transcultural experience
for people who desire a free, fair and peaceful life.
We will be hosting 7 great multilingual and multiinstrumental music groups on our stage: Ayanbeyan, Deli Reçel, Imvros Ensemble, Ruşen Alkar, Seyyah, Serbest Bölge and Sinafi Trio.
There will be 7 dance workshops and participatory performances from different parts of the world: Anatolian, Balkan, European and many more.
We’ll discuss how to improve our working conditions, solve our professional problems and build solidarity economy models among our community.
TRANSPORTATION
Imvros (Gökçeada) is an island in the North Aegean, in the province of Çanakkale/Turkey. Check information about the bus and ferry schedules before coming to Imvros at the link below.

Music and dance workshops and performances in a variety of languages and styles from different traditions and cultures will be accessible free of charge for everyone and are a vital part of our festival. No experience necessary for the workshops!

LOCALISING THE UNIVERSALS
‘A life without dancing is not worth living’, so we’ve added many easy-to-learn and practice dance workshops with group activities in the festival programme.
